How has being a Women’s Studies/Gender, Sexuality & Feminist Studies graduate from Duke University helped shape your professional success?

"I gravitated to Women’s Studies because the field challenged me to think in critical, innovative ways and sharpened my writing and communication skills. As an aide to Speaker Pelosi, I tapped into these skills, especially writing, on a daily basis. Additionally, as the world continues to evolve, knowledge of gender, sexuality and feminist issues enables me to engage in dialogue and community building with Americans of all backgrounds. I am proud to have graduated from Duke University with a degree in Women’s Studies."
