Joshua Chambers-Letson is Professor of Performance Studies at Northwestern University. The author of After the Party: A Manifesto for Queer of Color Life (NYU Press, 2018) and A Race So Different: Law and Performance in Asian America (NYU Press, 2013), with Tavia Nyong'o, Joshua is the editor of José Esteban Muñoz's posthumous The Sense of Brown (Duke University Press, 2020). After the Party is the recipient of both the 2019 Outstanding Book Award from the Association of Theatre in Higher Education and the 2019 Erroll Hill Award from the American Society for Theatre Research and A Race So Different also received the 2014 Outstanding Book Award from ATHE. Essays and other writings have circulated in both academic and art venues. With Ann Pellegrini and Tavia Nyong'o, Joshua is a series co-editor of the Sexual Cultures series at NYU Press.
